Oil Prices Set for Best Weekly Performance in a Month

The prices of oil rose in Friday’s trading, amid investor optimism about global demand for crude, and prices of black gold are heading towards recording their best weekly performance in a month.

By 10:30 GMT time, futures for U.S. crude oil, West Texas Intermediate (WTI), rose by 1.2% to $72.72 per barrel.

Meanwhile, futures for the global crude oil blend, Brent, rose by 1.23% to $76.79 per barrel, according to Bloomberg agency data.
